Ghost world is a flick about two not too clever but unusual girls who struggle trough their meandering sexual frusturation n' understanding what's world about .. khe khe .. fooled you again , well em girls (Thora Birch n' Scarlett Johansson) really are pretty cleverly playing experiments on people n' aren't any more frustrated than we all are.

Their characters might not be too eccentric , genius as Max Fisher ... they're pretty shallow actually but that what makes you love them the fact that they are very believable not-ruined-by-modern-life-yet(tm) teenage girls(tm), altough one of them adjusts to standards n' breaks pretty soon.

The Cinematography here is a very nice and although I haven't noticed the soundtrack here I recall it had some cool looping tracks suiting theme, Camera moves appealingly and captures the picture as need and the sets n' outfits are gorgeous along with the lightin'.

All the comix drawings in Enid's book worth the watch too n' the retard art class creations n' those o' the over enthusiast teacher are very entertaining too.

El Silly Gals performance is very good and has the right spice of the teen outcast that experience the failure of the education system among their fellow citizens, their friendship is something barely seen in movies with the target audience it has. (khe khe poor target audience!)

About the other performance well , We all love Steve Buscemi , He loves us back and always fills our hearts with joy playing an offbeat role of the overgrown guy who's mainly occupation is bitchin' n' ranting .. liked his role as a director of a David Lynch Spoof flick in Living in Oblivion .. along with many of his roles along John Torturo and small cameos that always worth a notice.

This a very groovy flick but I wonder if This won't be ,better off-  more effective in it's original format of a graphical novel , the limited dialog mustbe suits it much better and a comics in this case will feel more Noir-ish.

This defiantly worths a watch n' a rewatch at will, still wonder why it got R rating this film is so innocent! (damn am replayn' it at the very same moment)
